The 2009 meeting of the European Best Innovator Club was held in Berlin, where winners of A.T. Kearney’s annual Best Innovator competition met for two days to discuss innovation, sustainability and complexity. Participants examined how innovation is necessary to meet the sustainability challenge, how to manage complexity without stifl ing innovation, and how sustainability and complexity can be catalysts for innovation. This paper summarizes the insights generated by bringing together many of Europe’s leading innovators.
