Firm recognized for innovative programs to support working women.
A.T. Kearney has again been named to Working Mother magazine's list of 100 Best Companies.
In the 30 years since the list first began, the award has put a spotlight on workplaces that support working women with programs, benefits, and policies that make a powerful difference to their quality of life. Winners are chosen based on leave policies, representation of women in the workforce, benefits, child care, advancement programs, and flexible work options.
"Figuring out what works best for the team might be the secret to this global management consulting firm's success," the magazine said in a nod to our WorkSmart Program, which encourages ongoing, regular conversations between colleagues about how, when, and where team members prefer to work. The magazine also lauded A.T. Kearney's Pathway for Parents and Sponsorship programs.
In addition, A.T. Kearney Partner and Chief Financial Officer Christine Laurens was named as a 2015 Working Mother of the Year. As A.T. Kearney's first female CFO, she epitomizes the leadership, intelligence, passion, and adaptability of working mothers. Christine attributes her success to three factors: the firm's supportive culture, her own positive attitude about balancing career and family, and technology, which gives her the freedom to work from anywhere, at any time.
Acknowledging that finding the right work-life balance can be challenging, A.T. Kearney works hard to provide an environment that nurtures the success of all of our colleagues. "We are finding innovative ways to support women at our firm," said Beth Sehgal, global director of diversity & inclusion. "And we are honored to again be recognized for our ongoing work for diversity and inclusion."
This is the third year the firm has made the magazine's 100 Best Companies list. Past winners of the Working Mothers of the Year are Alyssa Pei (2014) and Kristen Etheredge (2013).
